"Rules for special employers from old accident law still apply in new law"

The rules for accredited employers under the Accident Insurance Act 1998 are still important. If you were an accredited employer before, you still are under the new Accident Compensation Act 2001.

The framework that was used for accredited employers before the new Act started is still the one you need to follow. It's just that now it's part of the new Act. You need to follow this framework along with the rules in Part 6 of the new Act.

If you had an agreement as an accredited employer before the new Act started, that agreement is still valid. It's now treated as an agreement under the new Act. But remember, you also need to follow the rules in Part 6 of the new Act along with your agreement.
