Accident Compensation Act 2001

Miscellaneous provisions - Joint purchasing arrangements

305: Joint purchasing arrangements for emergency transport services

You could also call this:

“Rules for buying emergency transport services with others”

You can buy emergency transport services together with the Ministry of Health or Health New Zealand. This is allowed under a specific part of the law. When you do this, some parts of another law called the Commerce Act don’t apply. This means you can work together to buy these services without worrying about those rules. However, two sections of the Commerce Act still apply, so you need to be careful about those. You can make agreements to buy these services together, and you can do things to set up these agreements or to make them work. Another part of the law that usually stops you from working with others doesn’t stop you from making these agreements for emergency transport services.
