47: Amendments to Code

“How the Code can be changed by the Minister”

The Minister can change the Code by approving changes that they or the Corporation suggest. When making changes, they usually need to follow the same steps as when they first made the Code. These steps are described in sections 42(2) to (5), 43, and 44 of the law.

However, if the change is small or technical, the Minister doesn’t have to follow all these steps. They can skip some steps if they think it’s not necessary to do them all for a small change.
