Accident Compensation Act 2001

Transitional provisions relating to entitlements provided by Corporation (but not under Part 10) - Transitional provisions relating to Corporation

400: Transfer of rights and liabilities under former Acts

You could also call this:

"ACC keeps all its stuff and duties when the new law starts"

From the day this law starts, the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) keeps all its stuff and responsibilities. This means ACC still owns all its buildings, equipment, and other things it had before. It also keeps all its rights and duties from before. If ACC was in the middle of any court cases or other official processes, these can continue as if nothing has changed. The ACC can finish these cases or processes, and people can still take action against ACC for things that happened before the law changed. It's like ACC is the same organisation, just under a new law.
