Entitlements and related matters - Vocational independence

111: How determination that claimant has vocational independence is to be regarded

You could also call this:

"How ACC decides if you can work again and what it means for your support"

When the Corporation decides that you have vocational independence, it means two different things depending on your situation. If you're someone who used to get support because you couldn't work, it now means you can work again. But instead of stopping your support right away, they'll follow a special rule called section 112. If you're someone who got help because you couldn't do your usual job, it now means you can do a job that fits your experience, education, or training. Again, they'll use section 112 to decide what happens next with your support. This rule helps make sure the change in your situation is handled fairly.
