Accident Compensation Act 2001

70: Claimant's and Corporation's obligations in relation to rehabilitation

You could also call this:

"Your and ACC's duties when helping you recover from an injury"

If you get hurt and ACC covers your injury, you have some rights and responsibilities. ACC must help you get better and be as independent as possible. They should do this as much as the law allows. This help is called rehabilitation.

You also have a job to do. You need to work on getting better yourself, as much as you can. How much you can do depends on how bad your injury is.

The goal is to help you get healthy, be independent, and take part in daily life as much as possible. Both you and ACC work together to make this happen.
