Accident Compensation Act 2001

Miscellaneous provisions - Consequential amendments, repeals, and revocations

337: Consequential amendments

You could also call this:

“This law will make changes to other laws and rules”

When this law comes into effect, it will make changes to other laws and rules. These changes are listed in Schedule 6 of the Accident Compensation Act 2001.

The changes are split into two parts:

  1. Part 1 of Schedule 6 lists the changes that will be made to other Acts (which are big laws made by Parliament).

  2. Part 2 of Schedule 6 lists the changes that will be made to regulations (which are smaller rules made by the government).

These changes are called “consequential amendments” because they are necessary to make sure other laws and rules line up with this new Act.
