174C: Minister's approval of certain workplace incentive programmes

You could also call this:

“Minister can approve special work safety plans”

The Minister can decide that some workplace incentive programmes need their approval before they can start. When making this decision, the Minister can think about different things that matter. These include what’s good for the public, how the programme fits with what the government wants to do, how it might affect people who pay levies, and how it might affect people who could join the programme but choose not to.

If the Minister decides a programme needs their approval, they have to talk to people or groups they think are important before they say yes. They’ll think about who might join the programme and how it might change the Work Account levies for people who don’t join.

This law is about making sure workplace incentive programmes are fair and fit with what the government wants to do. It gives the Minister the power to check and approve these programmes if they think it’s needed.
