Accident Compensation Act 2001

Management of the Scheme - General levy provisions

238: Effect of review or appeal about levy

You could also call this:

"You must pay a levy even if you disagree with it and ask for it to be checked"

If you disagree with a levy, you can ask for it to be reviewed or appeal against it. You can also challenge the amount of the levy or whether you need to pay it in other ways. However, even if you do any of these things, you still have to pay the levy. Also, if someone owes you a levy, they still have to pay it to you. The review, appeal, or challenge doesn't stop or delay these payments. This applies even if you've asked for a review under section 236, filed an appeal notice under section 236(4), or challenged the levy in any other way.
