When you make a claim for cover under section 48, the Corporation has certain responsibilities. They must decide if you have cover or not. If they decide you do have cover, they need to do two things. First, they will tell you about the entitlements they think you might be able to get. 50Responsibilities of Corporation after claim lodged

  1. On receiving a claim for cover under section 48 from a person, the Corporation must—

  2. decide whether or not it accepts that the person has cover; and
    1. if it accepts that the person has cover,—
      1. provide information about the entitlements to which it considers the claimant may be entitled; and
        1. facilitate the claimant's access to those entitlements.
        2. If the claim is for cover for a treatment injury, the Corporation must provide the claimant with information on the role of the Health and Disability Commissioner under the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights.
