Accident Compensation Act 2001

Management of the Scheme - Accredited employers

186: Corporation may be accredited employer

You could also call this:

"ACC can become a special employer for its own workers"

You can learn about a special rule for the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC). The ACC is allowed to become an accredited employer, but only in a specific way. The Minister can set up a process that lets them appoint ACC as an accredited employer for its own workers. This process will explain how ACC should do its job as an accredited employer. It will also cover the same things that are in agreements with other accredited employers. When ACC acts as an accredited employer, it has to follow the rules set up by the Minister. These rules must match up with what the law says about accredited employers in general.
