Accident Compensation Act 2001

Miscellaneous provisions - Consequential amendments, repeals, and revocations

339: Consequential repeals and revocations

You could also call this:

“Removing old laws and rules to keep things up to date”

This part of the law talks about getting rid of some older laws and rules. You should know that the government has decided to cancel two laws. These laws are called the Accident Insurance Act 1998 and the Accident Insurance (Transitional Provisions) Act 2000. They are no longer in use.

Also, the government has decided to cancel some orders and rules. You can find a list of these cancelled orders and rules in Schedule 8 of this law. When something is ‘revoked’, it means it’s no longer valid or in effect.

This is how the government updates laws to make sure only the current ones are being used.
