25A: Review of operation of Schedule 3A

You could also call this:

“Checking if the rules for helping people with accidents are working well”

After 1 October 2025, the Minister must do a few important things about Schedule 3A. This schedule is related to section 25(1)(f) of the Accident Compensation Act 2001.

First, the Minister needs to check how Schedule 3A has been working since it started. They will look at whether any changes are needed to make it better.

Next, the Minister must write a report about what they found. This report will say if they think any changes should be made to Schedule 3A.

The Minister then has to give a copy of this report to the House of Representatives. This is where the country’s lawmakers meet.

When the Minister is writing this report, they need to talk to people they think are important to ask. This is to make sure they get different views on how Schedule 3A is working.
