Local Government Act 2002

Governance and management of local authorities and community boards - Community boards

54: Application of other provisions to community boards

You could also call this:

“Rules for community boards: What they can do and how they work”

Part 2 of Schedule 7 applies to community boards. This means that the rules in that part are used for community boards.

Part 1 of Schedule 7 also applies to community boards, but with some changes. It’s used as if community boards were local authorities. However, clauses 15 and 33 to 36 of Part 1 don’t apply to community boards. The rest of Part 1 is used, but it might be changed a bit to fit community boards better.

These rules help explain how community boards should work and what they can do. They make sure that community boards follow similar rules to local authorities, but with some differences that suit their specific role.
