Local Government Act 2002

Regulations, other Orders in Council, and rules - Regulations

259H: Access to standards incorporated by reference

You could also call this:

“How you can see and read the special rules included in the law”

The department in charge of this Act must do two things for you. First, they need to give you online access to any financial reporting standards that are part of the regulations. Second, they have to let you look at these standards for free during work hours. You can do this at the department’s main office or other places the Secretary thinks are good.

If the department doesn’t do these things, it doesn’t mean the regulations are wrong. The regulations that include these financial reporting standards are still valid.

Both of these points are about the regulations made under section 259(1)(dc).
