93G: Information to be adopted by local authority in relation to long-term plan and consultation document

You could also call this:

“Information the council needs before making a long-term plan for the community”

Before you can adopt a consultation document under section 93A, you need to prepare and adopt some important information. This information is used for three main purposes:

  1. It supports the content of the consultation document you’re adopting under section 93A.

  2. It helps the Auditor-General write the reports they need to give as required by sections 93C(4) and 93D(4).

  3. It provides the foundation for preparing or changing the long-term plan.

This process ensures that the consultation document and long-term plan are based on solid, well-prepared information, and that the Auditor-General has what they need to do their job.
