Local Government Act 2002

Consequential amendments, repeals, revocations, transitional provisions, and savings - Consequential amendments, repeals, and revocations

271: Lake Taupo Regulations 1976

You could also call this:

“Rules for boats and safety on Lake Taupo that will last until 2003 or 2004”

You need to know about the Lake Taupo Regulations 1976. These rules will stay in place until 30 June 2003, or maybe a bit later, but not after 30 June 2004. The government can change this date if they need to.

The person in charge of New Zealand, called the Governor-General, can make changes to these rules. They can add new rules about boats and water safety. They can also get rid of some or all of the old rules if they want to.

Even though another law called the Local Government Amendment Act (No 2) 1999 says something different, these Lake Taupo rules will still work the way they’re supposed to.
