152Effect of Building Act 2004 on bylaws
A council may not make a bylaw under this Act that purports to have the effect of requiring a building to achieve performance criteria additional to, or more restrictive than, those specified in the Building Act 2004 or the building code.
For the purposes of this section, building, building code, and performance criteria have the meanings given to them by the Building Act 2004.
