The Commission has some jobs to do. You know the Commission is like a group of people who help make sure the telecommunications industry is working well. The Commission must check how well companies are competing with each other to provide telecommunications services. They also have to see how the telecommunications markets are doing and if they are getting better.

The Commission can also do some research to find out more about the telecommunications industry and how it can benefit the people who use these services in New Zealand. They must also make sure companies are following the rules, like the Commission 111 contact code.

The Commission has to share information with you about what they find out, like how well companies are doing and if they are following the rules. They also have to check the quality of the telecommunications services that companies are providing to you, and share this information so you can make good choices. The Commission can share this information in reports or summaries, but they do not have to share all the documents they have, even if they got them from section 10A.
