The Commission has a set of rules called a retail service quality code. You need to know what this code is about. It must say which telecommunications services it applies to, which service providers it applies to, and promote the purpose set out in section 233.

The code must also do these things to help you. It tells you which services and providers are included. The code promotes a specific purpose to help keep you safe.

The Commission can also make rules that service providers must follow. They can add other rules if they are necessary or desirable to help you and other users of telecommunications services.
