16Application of section 98A of Commerce Act 1986
A search warrant may be issued under section 98A(2) of the Commerce Act 1986, and powers may be exercised under that warrant, only for the purposes of—
- ascertaining whether a person has done any of the following things:
- committed an offence against section 46(1)(b) or (c) or section 82(1) of this Act:
- contravened section 103 (except subsection (1)(c)) of the Commerce Act 1986:
- committed an offence against section 46(1)(b) or (c) or section 82(1) of this Act:
- obtaining information and documents that have been requested by the Commission under section 82(b) or 83(1)(a) of this Act or section 98 of the Commerce Act 1986 and that have not been provided within the required time.
