When the Commission sets the price-quality paths for fibre fixed line access services, you need to know they have certain rules to follow. The Commission must say what the maximum revenues are that a fibre service provider can get, but they cannot say what the maximum price is that the provider can charge. You can find more information about this in section 194(2)(b) and section 196, which also refer to the reset date.

The reset date is the date that is declared in an order made under section 225. This date is important for the price-quality paths. The Commission's rules about maximum revenues and prices are connected to this reset date.

The Commission has to follow these rules for each regulatory period that starts before the reset date, which is declared in an order made under section 225, and you can also learn more about the reset date in section 196.
