Illustration for Telecommunications Act 2001

If you are a regulated fibre service provider who has to follow price-quality rules, you must provide an anchor service if one has been declared. You have to provide the service in a specific way, following any rules that have been set. This includes providing the service during a certain time and at a price that is not higher than a set maximum price.

You must follow any description of the service that has been prescribed, and any conditions that have been set. The service must be provided at a price that is no greater than the maximum price that has been prescribed. This is part of the rules for fibre fixed line access services in the Telecommunications Act 2001, which was amended by the Telecommunications (New Regulatory Framework) Amendment Act 2018.
