Illustration for Telecommunications Act 2001

The Commission has to prepare a draft plan for each financial year. You will see this plan is about how costs are shared. The Commission must tell the public about this draft plan and say when people can give their thoughts on it.

The Commission has to give people at least 20 working days to comment on the plan after they tell the public about it. The Commission tries to do all these things within 80 working days after the end of the financial year.

You can find more information about changes to this rule in the Telecommunications (TSO, Broadband, and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2011.
