The Governor-General can change some rules in the Telecommunications Act 2001. You can find these rules in clauses 1 to 6 of Schedule 1, which you can read more about in the link to clauses 1 to 6 of Schedule 1. The Governor-General makes these changes with the help of the Minister.

When the Governor-General makes a change, it is called secondary legislation. You can learn more about what this means by reading Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019.

The Governor-General follows some rules when making these changes, which are explained in the Legislation Act 2019.
