You need to know that fibre fixed line access services are regulated. This means they must follow the rules in this part of the law. A regulated fibre service provider must comply with the rules that apply to them. You must also comply with every section 170 determination that applies to you. On and after the date you are obliged to comply with this part or a section 170 determination, certain rules apply. These rules include sections 212 to 218 and some sections of the Commerce Act 1986, like sections 88, 88A, and 90. The Commission can use its powers to check if regulated fibre service providers are following the rules. This helps make sure everyone is complying with the regulation under this part of the law.
