When the Commission makes a determination, they think it must follow certain rules. You need to know the Commission must make the determination in line with access principles and any limits on those principles. The Commission must also consider any regulations related to those access principles.

The Commission's determination must comply with approved codes that are relevant. If the determination is about a specific access service, the Commission must follow the initial pricing principle. This principle might be affected by clause 2 or clause 3 of Schedule 1.

The Commission must apply the initial pricing principle according to any regulations that explain how to use it. This helps the Commission make a determination that is fair and follows the rules. You can find more information about how the Commission makes determinations in the Telecommunications Act 2001.
