If you get a copper fixed line access service from Chorus, this section applies to you. You get this service because Chorus is required to supply it to you under a standard terms determination made under section 30M. Chorus started supplying the service when your building was not in a fibre area.

Now, your building is in a fibre area because of a notice under section 69AB, and the service is no longer a designated access service. Chorus can stop supplying the service, but only if they follow a copper withdrawal code or you choose to disconnect the service.

Chorus does not have to supply the service to a new user or restart the service if they have already stopped it.
