When you read this part of the law, it talks about installations and services. You should know that when it mentions fibre optic media or FTTP services, it also means other technologies that are prescribed. This is because the law includes these other technologies in its definitions.

When the law refers to a fibre-to-the-premises access network, you should understand that it can also be a network that uses other prescribed technologies. This can be a network that is made up of these other technologies or a network that uses them as part of it. The law makes sure that these other technologies are included in its rules.

You can find more information about the changes to this law in the Telecommunications (Property Access and Other Matters) Amendment Act 2017.
