Maritime Transport Act 1994

Obligations and powers in relation to marine protection documents - Powers of Director in relation to marine protection documents

275: Amendment or revocation in other cases

You could also call this:

"Changing or cancelling marine protection documents in special situations"

The Director can change or cancel a marine protection document in certain situations. You can ask the Director to change or cancel your document if you are the holder, and they will do it if you ask in writing. The Director can also fix any mistakes on the document, like spelling errors.

The Director can change a document if the holder is not using the privileges or doing the duties that the document allows. They can also cancel a document if the holder is not using any of the privileges or doing any of the duties. Before the Director takes any action, they will tell the holder what they plan to do and give them a chance to comment.

If the Director decides to change a document, they can cancel the old one and issue a new one, or add conditions that the holder must follow. If the holder is told that the Director plans to take action, they must give the Director the document right away. You can find more information about this by looking at the Maritime Transport Act 1994 and similar laws, such as s 20 of a related act.
