Maritime Transport Act 1994

Maritime New Zealand - Provisions relating to Authority

433: Authority to have powers of natural person

You could also call this:

"The Authority can do things like a normal person, such as own property or make contracts."

The Authority has the same powers as a natural person. You can think of a natural person as an individual, like you or a family member. The Authority can do things that you can do, like own property or enter into contracts.

The Authority's powers are like those of a normal person, but this part of the law has been repealed. This means it is no longer in effect, and it was removed from the law on 25 January 2005. It was repealed by section 200 of the Crown Entities Act 2004.
