Maritime New Zealand - Provisions relating to Authority

429: Maritime New Zealand continued

You could also call this:

"Maritime New Zealand: a government-owned organisation that helps with maritime safety"

There is an authority called Maritime New Zealand. It is a Crown entity, which means it is owned by the government, for the purposes of section 7 of the Crown Entities Act 2004. The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to Maritime New Zealand.

Maritime New Zealand is owned by the Crown. The Crown Entities Act 2004 applies to Maritime New Zealand, except where this Act says otherwise. This means some rules in the Crown Entities Act 2004 might not apply to Maritime New Zealand.

Some special rules in Schedule 1 also apply to Maritime New Zealand. These rules are part of the law that governs Maritime New Zealand. You can find more information about these rules in Schedule 1.
