The New Zealand marine oil spill response strategy is to describe what you do in case of an oil spill. You take action to respond to the spill and this action is done by certain people. The strategy also helps everyone respond to oil spills in the same way. The strategy promotes working together when responding to oil spills. You co-ordinate plans and actions to deal with the spill. The Director decides what to include in the strategy to make it work. The strategy includes important matters to achieve its purpose and other required matters.
