484Transitional provisions relating to Oil Pollution Advisory Committee

  1. Notwithstanding anything in section 282,—

  2. every person who held office as a member of the Oil Pollution Advisory Committee established by section 29G of the Marine Pollution Act 1974 shall be deemed to have been appointed under subsection (2) of the said section 282 on the terms and conditions that applied to him or her immediately before the commencement of that section:
    1. the Director shall continue to be the chairperson of the committee until the Minister appoints a new chairperson under the said section 282.
