Maritime Transport Act 1994

Consequential amendments, transitional provisions, and repeals

474: Levies under Marine Pollution Act 1974

You could also call this:

"Paying levies under the old marine pollution law still applies"

When the Marine Pollution Act 1974 is repealed, some of its provisions will still apply. You will still have to follow the rules about levies that were in the Marine Pollution Act 1974 and its regulations. These rules will apply to any period before the Act is repealed.

If you have to pay a levy, you will pay it as if the new rules applied. You will get a receipt for the levy you pay, just like you would if you were following the new rules, specifically section 337. This means that even though the old Act is repealed, the rules about levies will still work in the same way.
