447: Procedure for making of emergency rules by Director

You could also call this:

"How the Director makes emergency maritime rules after talking to important people."

The Director must talk to certain people before making emergency rules under section 37 or section 391. You need to know that the Director will choose who to talk to, and it might be people from the maritime industry, government departments, or other groups. The Director will also talk to regional councils if the rules are about Part 27.

The Director has to consider who to talk to in each case, and they will pick the people they think are appropriate. They might talk to representative groups or government departments, depending on what the emergency rules are about. The Director will make these decisions before making any emergency rules under section 37 or section 391, or rules under Part 27.
