When someone is making a plan to respond to oil spills in New Zealand's waters, they need to talk to a group called the Oil Pollution Advisory Committee. You will also be talked to if the person in charge thinks it is a good idea. This is so the plan is well thought out and includes ideas from different people. The person in charge is called the Director and they are responsible for making this plan, which is called the New Zealand Marine Oil Spill Response Strategy.
