229Notice of prospective arrival of ship carrying oil or noxious liquid substance

  1. Notice of the arrival at a port in New Zealand of a ship carrying oil, or any noxious liquid substance, in bulk as cargo shall be given prior to its arrival by the master or owner of the ship to the Director or the regional council within whose region the port of prospective arrival is located, in accordance with the requirements of the marine protection rules.
