Miscellaneous provisions applying to this Act generally - Transport instruments

452B: Specified person may make transport instruments

You could also call this:

"Who can create maritime transport rules?"

When it comes to maritime laws, a specified person can make transport instruments. You need to know that this specified person cannot pass on the power to make, amend, or revoke a transport instrument to someone else. A specified person can be the Authority, the Director, the Secretary, or the Crown entity appointed as the Designated Authority under section 7 of the Maritime Security Act 2004.

This rule also applies to section 452C, which is another part of the law. You should look at who can be a specified person, which includes a few different roles. These roles are important in making transport instruments.

A specified person has certain powers, but they cannot delegate these powers to someone else. You can find more information about the laws that apply to transport instruments. The laws are in place to help with maritime transport.
