You could also call this:

"What to include in your food safety plan"

When you have a food control plan, it must include some important details. You need to write down the name and address of the food business, and the person in charge of it. You also need to include their physical and electronic addresses for certain purposes, such as for section 378(3)(a).

You must describe the type of food your business handles and what kind of business it is. You need to explain how you will follow the rules of the Food Act, as defined in section 8(1). You have to think about what could go wrong and write down procedures to keep the food safe.

These procedures include things like good operating practice, controlling hazards, and monitoring food safety. You also need to have plans for preventative and corrective actions, and for keeping records. If certain rules apply to your business, you must include information about tracing and recalling food, as required by regulations made under section 133C and any notice under section 405.

You may need to add other details, such as validation information, and any other matters specified in regulations or notices under section 405. All this information helps keep the food safe for people to eat.
