When you read this part of the Food Act 2014, some words have special meanings. The "applicable risk-based measure" is the rule that a food business must follow under this Act. You can find the rule in the Act.

The "deemed food control plan" is a food safety programme that is considered to be a registered food control plan under section 430 or section 431. The "occupier" and "premises" have the same meanings as in the Food Hygiene Regulations 1974. The "provisions of the former food regime" refer to the rules in the Dietary Supplements Regulations 1985, Food Act 1981, Food Hygiene Regulations 1974, and Food (Safety) Regulations 2002.

A "registered food safety programme" is a programme that was approved under the Food Act 1981, or one for which an exemption was granted and registered under section 8ZS of that Act. To determine which rules apply, you can look at Sections 23 and 25.
