Food Act 2014

Risk-based measures - Food control plans - Removal of registration of food control plans

66: Removal from public register

You could also call this:

"Taking a food business off the public list"

If the chief executive cancels a food control plan's registration under section 67, or is told about the cancellation, this section applies to the plan. This section also applies if the chief executive is told about the surrender of a plan's registration under section 71. You need to know that the chief executive gets this information from the operator of the plan or the registration authority.

When this section applies to a food control plan, the chief executive must do two things as soon as possible. The chief executive must record that the plan's registration has been cancelled or surrendered on the public register. The chief executive must also remove the food control plan from the public register.

The chief executive's actions are important because they help keep the public register up to date. You can find more information about the registration process in the relevant sections of the law.
