If you are a recognised agency or person, you can give up your recognition by sending a written notice to the chief executive. You need to say in the notice when you want the surrender to take effect. When you decide to surrender your recognition, you have to tell certain people before it happens. You must tell the people you work with, like other recognised persons or agencies, that you are surrendering your recognition. You also need to tell your clients that you will no longer be a recognised agency or person, so they know what is happening.
