"What happens if your food business registration is cancelled?"

Illustration for Food Act 2014

If your registration as a food importer is cancelled, the chief executive can tell you not to sell any food that was imported, produced, or processed under the cancelled registration. They can also tell you what to do with any affected food or equipment. The chief executive can use other powers under section 285 as well. If your registration is cancelled, it does not stop the chief executive from taking other actions against you under the Food Act 2014. The chief executive's other actions can still happen even after your registration is cancelled.
