The Act's introductory period is a time frame that starts on a specific date. You can think of this date as the relevant appointed date. This time frame ends after a certain period of time.

The end of this period is either three years after the start date or a later date. You can find this later date in regulations made under a specific section, which is section 417. This section helps explain when the Act's introductory period ends.
