The Governor-General can make rules about fees, charges, and levies for the Food Act 2014. You will have to pay fees for things like applying for something or renewing something under this Act. The Governor-General can also make rules about fees that you have to pay all the time if you have a certain status under this Act, like a special licence. The rules made under this section are called secondary legislation, which means they are a type of law, and you can find out more about this in Part 3 of the Legislation Act 2019. These rules have to follow certain requirements, which are outlined in sections 204 and 207 of this Act.
