When the Food Act 2014 says you must tell someone some information, it might be the Minister, the chief executive, or a territorial authority. You can tell them in person, by mail, or electronically. You can give the information to someone who works with them, like a person with a contract or a food safety officer. This helps make sure the right people get the information they need.

When the Food Act 2014 says you must tell a territorial authority some information, it works in a similar way. You can tell them in person, by mail, or electronically. You can give the information to someone who works with the territorial authority.

If the Food Act 2014 says you must tell a food safety officer some information, you can do it in person, by mail, or electronically. This makes it easy to give them the information they need to do their job.
