Food Act 2014

Provisions relating to recognition, territorial authorities, administration, and enforcement - Territorial authorities - Transfer of territorial authority's functions, duties, and powers to chief executive

182: Change, revocation, or relinquishment of transfer

You could also call this:

"Changing or taking back jobs given to the chief executive"

If you are a territorial authority that has given some of its jobs to the chief executive under section 179, you can make changes. You can change the jobs you gave them if the chief executive agrees, by updating the agreement. You can also take back the jobs you gave them by following the same rules that applied when you first gave them the jobs, which are in sections 179(4) and 180. If you update the agreement and this adds or removes jobs, you must follow the rules in section 179(4).

The chief executive can also give back the jobs you gave them, as long as they do this according to the agreement. You should look at the agreement to see how this works. The chief executive must follow the rules in the agreement when giving back the jobs.
