Illustration for Food Act 2014

When you register a food business that is subject to a national programme, the registration authority has some tasks to do. The registration authority must enter the required information on the public register as soon as possible, and this information is outlined in clause 7 of Schedule 5. You will also get written notice with details like the registration start date and any conditions.

If the chief executive is not the registration authority, they must give the chief executive the food business details to enter on the public register. The details include what is required for clause 7 of Schedule 5, and the registration date. You will get written notice with the registration start date and any conditions.

The chief executive must enter the details on the public register as soon as possible after being notified. Your food business registration can be renewed, and this is done in accordance with Part 2 of Schedule 4.
