Food Act 2014

Risk-based measures - National programmes - Duties of operators of food businesses subject to national programme

81: Operators of food businesses subject to national programme must notify registration authority of significant change in circumstances

You could also call this:

"Tell the registration authority about big changes to your food business"

If you run a food business that follows a national programme, you must tell the registration authority about any significant change in circumstances. You need to give them written notice of the change. You should do this before the change happens, or as soon as possible after it happens.

If it is not possible to tell them before the change, you must tell them within 10 working days after the change. A significant change in circumstances means a change in the information you provided when you applied to register your food business, such as the type of food you sell or the way you run your business. It also includes things like the death, bankruptcy, or liquidation of the business owner.

If the business owner dies, goes bankrupt, or the business is liquidated, the person who takes control of the business must tell the registration authority about the change, as required by section 83(b) to (h). You must give them written notice of the change. This notice is important to keep the registration authority up to date about your food business.
